TROOP 149

Troop 149's NEWEST! Eagles 2011.

It is always a  special occasion for Boy Scout Troop 149  when we celebrate the induction of our young men into the Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
The journey to Eagle Scout is a long and difficult one, yet it is an  enjoyable one. It started years ago as 'Tiger Cubs' and later on as 'Cub Scouts'.
Upon joining the troop, they  advanced and held positions of responsibility. This rank is not easily attained and that is why is so special.

Remember, No one ever says 'I was an Eagle Scout'.  Because once a young man becomes an Eagle Scout, he is forever an Eagle Scout.

Troop 149 and its leaders are pleased to announce that on Tuesday August 16, 2011, the Eagle Board of Review approved Ryan’s application for Eagle Scout!

Ryan has been active with the troop for several years, even before he became a member of the troop. He joins his three brothers – Tim, Kevin and Sean- as an Eagle scout and as an Eagle Scout of troop 149.

During his scouting career, Ryan held several troop offices - Instructor, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Scribe- and participated in many of the troop events and trips.

For his Eagle Service Project, Ryan marked the trails at Bonner and Martin Parks in Thornbury Township.

Ryan graduated from Rustin High School and has now left West Chester to pursue his higher education at Marywood University in Scranton, PA. Ryan will become an Athletic Trainer.

Congratulations to Ryan, his parents and his leaders on attaining this coveted rank!
