TROOP 149

Troop 149's NEWEST! Eagles 2007.

It is always a  special occasion for Boy Scout Troop 149  when we celebrate the induction of our young men into the Eagle Scout Court of Honor.
The journey to Eagle Scout is a long and difficult one, yet it is an  enjoyable one. It started years ago as 'Tiger Cubs' and later on as 'Cub Scouts'.
Upon joining the troop, they  advanced and held positions of responsibility. This rank is not easily attained and that is why is so special.

Remember,
No one ever says 'I was an Eagle Scout'.  Because once a young man becomes an Eagle Scout, he is forever an Eagle Scout.

An Eagle Court of Honor was held on November 4, 2007 for Jason M Parks on the occasion of his ascent
to the rank of Eagle. Jason's project was the replacement of a wooden bridge at the church of
the Loving Shepherd in West Chester.
David K, a fellow Eagle Scout from troop 149, delivered the Charge and Mr. Erik Bradley, Assistant Scoutmaster, inducted the new Eagle into Eaglehood. Federal, State, Local public officials and the Elk's Lodge in West Chester issued commemorative citations on behalf of the new
Eagles. The office of State Representative Joe Sestak was present with a commendation plaque and citation.
Congratulations to Jason on becoming an EAGLE SCOUT!!

Eagle Scout Jason Michael Parks

Jason was elevated to the rank of Eagle Scout on May 16, 2007 by
 the Eagle Board of Review.

Jason's project included the design and building of a new bridge for
the Church of the Loving Shepherd. This bridge will benefit the Church
Community and allow easier access for maintenance purposes to the
adjacent pond.

An Eagle Court of Honor to celebrate Jason's achievements is
planned for November 2007.

Congratulations to Jason, his parents and family on his Eagle Rank!
You are forever an Eagle Scout!
