TROOP 149 |
On Wednesday July 14, 2010 the Eagle Board of review awarded John Luke the rank he had earned! John is now and forever an EAGLE SCOUT!. For his Eagle Service Project, John Luke planned and built a recreational climbing structure for the disabilities summer camp which is hosted by the Church of the Loving Shepherd. This structure will allow kids with some physical and/or mental disabilities to enjoy the outdoors and get some physical exercise while outdoors. John held several offices: Quartermaster, Assistant Patrol Leader, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster. His awards: Member of OA, Octararo Lodge. Order of the Arrow. Earned several special awards: Red Trail, Toten Chip, Trailblazers, Snorkeling BSA and Yellow Trail. John will continue his education and eventually becoming a veterinary doctor. He also plans to volunteer in the US Army where he expects to excel as a combat instructor. Congratulations to John, his parents and leaders! We wish you the best of luck in all your future endeavors and ask of you to remember your troop!
Boy Scout Troop 149 is looking for boys who are willing to commit to building our Troop. While is easy to join, it takes commitment and determination to live up to the ideals of Scouting. We welcome all boys aged 10 to 17 who reside with/in our community reach to join our troop!! If you are interested in joining, please email us at Scoutmaster149 or membership.
